The Perks of Being a Wallflower was an incredibly emotional and raw book. Written in the form of letters to an unknown 'friend' it is quite easy to put yourself in the position of the reciever. I would advise a certain amount of caution when embarking on Charlie's journey, for it is not one to be taken lightly.
15 year old Charlie struggles with everyday life and can't seem to blend in to the crowd he so desperately wants to. From the beginning Charlie is shy, reserved and generally soft spoken though he can throw a punch when needed. New to Freshman year and still raw from the tragic death of a friend Charlie finds himself in the comany of two wonderous strangers. Sam, the beautiful girl that he quickly falls for and her charmingly witty and sarcastic step-brother Patrick. Through hs freshman year Charlie deals with finding himself, undertsanding others and the experiences that change who he imagined himself to be. Brief spells of drug use and alcohol induced stupors lead Charlie to a world he never knew existed. In this world he confronts personal deals with the help of Sam and Patrick and a few other rowdy characters who fall in and out of his life. Charlie comes to realize that the life he once had was not what he remembered it to be and that not everyone you love have the best intentions. Both through heart break and triumph Charlie comes to terms with who he is and how the world has come to be.

Cinders, Cinders, We all Fall Down.
Cinder: Book One in the Lunar Chronicles ~ Marissa Meyer
Cinder, a partial cyborg, mans a small mechanic shop in the crowded market center of New Beijing. Constantly hiding from the public who so heavily discriminate against people who aren't entirely human, she is careful to keep her exposed mechanics away from society's critical eye. One fateful day Cinder encounters the Prince who lives sectioned away from a disease ridden city and her life falls into a drastic roller coaster of confusing events. As she becomes closer to a royal who can never discover her secret a target quickly finds its way to her back. Interstellar peace hinges on the Princes decision and Cinder finds herself caught in the middle of a very dangerous battle. One that could have fatal consequences.
The book keeps a lot of the same elements that the original Cinderella story has. Cinder still lives with a hateful stepmother who can't wait to be rid of her and two step sisters who aren't sure whether or not to like her or hate her. Marissa Meyer captures a love story wrought with difficulty and lies, at points you're unsure of whether you sympathize with Cinder or dislike the choices she makes. Cinder guides you through an emotional self discovery that will have you standing in line for the next book.
Any feedback on what you thought of the book would be greatly appreciated and if you have any suggestions fill free to leave them in the comment section. Enjoi!
